Playstation Notwork or PSN is a free-to-access digital media delivery for online gaming provided by Sony Computer Entertainment. Playtation Network is available on Playstation 3 and Playstation Portable. Playstation Network is only available for the user by signing up to Playstation Network. Playstation Network consists mainly of the Playstation Store and the messaging service. Access to Playstation Network requires an internet connection where the user is responsible for additional internet fees.
You may register for an account on a PC, PS3 or PSP. There are two accounts that may be created and you may use these two account types on another system as a guest.
When the user have signed up for a Master Account, he/she have guaranteed that he/she is over 18 years old. With a Master Account, the user have access to parental control so that the user may edit the settings on the system regarding which people may play the different games and content and edit the security settings.
Sub Accounts may be created on the system but these accounts are controlled by the Master Account so that a Sub Account- user may not be able to play all the games avaible nearby on that system.
There are two ID's that you have to remember or use the auto- login feature on your XMB- menu system for being able to log in to your account.
An Online ID is the same as the players username which appears when you play online and under Friends on the XMB menu. An Online ID must be unique and can be up to 16 characters long.
